Thermofocus is the first non contact (at-distance) clinical forehead thermometer in the world, result of a series of international patents.
Thermofocus is the no touch thermometer, designed to allow you to take your baby's temperature without even touching him/her. With the Thermofocus thermometer, taking your baby's temperature becomes a sweet gesture, just like a caress. It is enough to get Thermofocus close to your baby's forehead to see his/her body temperature in a few seconds.
Thermofocus is a thermometer perfect for children and functional for adults, because the temperature measurement is quick, precise, hygienic, safe and can be done with your complete comfort.

Body temperature is measured by pointing the THERMOFOCUS thermometer at the centre of the forehead. The right distance between the forehead and the thermometer for a correct measurement is easily determined thanks to a LED system emitting two light beams (normal red light which is totally safe). As the thermometer is moved closer to the forehead, at the right distance (approx. cm 3) the two beams converge to form a single red spot on the skin of the forehead. Release the button and keep still the thermometer for less than one second until the lights flash and the temperature appears in the LCD display of the thermometer.  There is no need to concern if the aiming lights are pointed into the eyes: the beams are absolutely harmless and are not laser lights.

In case the subject, (i.e. a child) is moving, crying or has a perspiring forehead, it is possible to take the temperature aiming the thermometer on the navel or the neck, just below the ear. In case of old people with thick wrinkles on the forehead, a low supplying of blood may provoke a low temperature. In this case as well it is possible to proceed aiming the thermometer on the neck or on the navel (not recommended in case of not shaved areas).

THERMOFOCUS® SUPPORTS CONTROL MEASURES AGAINST A/H1N1 FLU (swine flu)

Tecnimed takes part to the international cooperation network helping to face the spreading of A/H1N1 Flu (swine flu), by presenting its innovative Thermofocus®, the first and more advanced non-contact clinical thermometer in the world, the only one which guarantees absolute hygiene and an accurate, instantaneous, safe and repeatable temperature measurement, thanks to its exclusive patented optical aiming system, which allows to keep the thermometer always at the correct distance from the patient’s forehead.

In the case of A/H1N1 Flu, whose principal symptom is high fever, the body temperature measurement represents an extremely important action. That’s why the ‘new generation’ version of Thermofocus® thermometer, the 0800H series, is perfect to be used in airports, hospitals, schools, factories and all other at-risk situations and/or in all circumstances where it becomes necessary to make a mass, but accurate, check.

In fact, thanks to its exclusive at-distance measurement system, Thermofocus® thermometer always guarantees absolute hygiene, and reduces the risk of infection during the temperature monitoring, both for the patients and for the operator who is in charge of the measurements. A risk which becomes extremely high when the temperature monitoring is made at the same time/place on many people using traditional skin-contact thermometers (ear thermometer, digital, forehead, etc.).

In 2003, when the SARS pandemic spread out, Thermofocus® has been the most  required thermometer by the sanitary authorities of many different Countries all over the world. Thermofocus 01500A/H1N1 is the forehead non contact thermometer specifically studied for being used in hospitals, airports, schools, factories, etc. in case of emergency and/or pandemic situations. This thermometer is particularly quick, accurate and easy to use, allowing a fast and hygienic temperature reading for thousands of consecutive measurements. 01500 A/H1N1 is provided with the MQCS technology (Manual Quick Calibration System), thorough which the thermometer is always perfectly stabilized to the ambient temperature and ready to take series of measurements. Thermofocus 01500A/H1N1 comes with a special lanyard with additional brief instructions, which allows to safely carry the device in order to use it anytime it’s needed.
