Tecnimed is aware of the importance of contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change. Although a small-sized company, Tecnimed has embarked on a gradual journey to understand and improve its environmental impact, with a pragmatic and long-term sustainable approach. Over the next 12 months, the company intends to: – begin measuring its direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2), starting from energy consumption data already available; – analyse the main sources of emissions related to its production activities; – identify possible improvement actions to reduce energy consumption and increase efficiency. Several initiatives have already been undertaken in this direction, including the installation of a photovoltaic system that covers a significant portion of the company’s energy needs. In addition, Tecnimed is committed to progressively incorporating environmental criteria into the selection and evaluation of its suppliers. The goal is to build, over time, a structured approach to emissions management, setting realistic targets and monitoring progress in a transparent manner. This journey will be developed in proportion to the company’s size, with the intention of making a concrete contribution to more sustainable growth.
