DESCRIPTION

Insect Killer Lamp is an electronic trap for mosquitoes and other small flying insects.
– It can be used both indoors and outdoors.
– It performs the dual function of electronic trap and LED lamp, but can also be used as an electronic trap only at night and during the day (if placed in the shade).

HOW IT WORKS

The device is composed of a plastic case that is both the base for the bulb and the external protective grid. Inside there are 4 blue LEDs able to attract mosquitoes and other insects, and a metallic grid that strikes them producing an electric spark which, thanks to its low amperage, is totally safe for humans.
It can work in any position, vertically or horizontally. For indoor and outdoor use as long as protected from atmospheric agents.

HOW TO USE

– Screw the lamp to an E27 lamp holder (WITHOUT LAMP), controlled by a normal electrical system (without dimmer):
– Press the switch to activate the dual function electronic trap/lamp.
– If you wish to use only the electronic trap function, quickly turn the switch off and on again: only the blue LEDs will light up.
– To switch off the device completely, press the switch again.

Suggestions:
– always keep on the electronic trap function (blue lights) even during the day, placing the device in the shade, so that it can catch tiger mosquitoes (Aedes Albopictus), which are very aggressive, bite during the day and are suspected of transmitting the Zika virus, and other annoying insects that fly during the day
– During the night, turn on also the lamp to fully exploit its potential, particularly against other mosquitoes such as those of the Aedes Aegypti genus, the main vector of the Zika virus, and those of the Culex genus (another mosquito recently suspected of transmitting the Zika virus).

PRE-CAUTIONS AND MAINTENANCE

– THE PRODUCT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH LIGHTING APPARATUS HAVING AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT TO ADJUST LIGHT.
– High voltage danger.
– Keep out of reach of children or person with reduced sensorimotor skills.
– Do not use if the device, and in particular the protective grill, is damaged.
– Do not insert fingers or metallic objects in the device when connected.
– The spark produced by the contact with the metallic grid may cause a small electroshock: even
though it is not dangerous, thanks to its low amperage, it may frighten the children.
– Be sure to put it far from inflammable substances and materials such as paper or clothing.
– Do not use in locations where flammable vapour or explosive dust are likely to exist.
– Not suitable for use in barns, stables and similar locations.
–  At the end of its life please dispose of this product responsible according to current disposal.
– MAINTENANCE: make sure to disconnect the device from the connector before cleaning.
Clean the internal grid with the included brush. Do not clean the grid with liquids or chemicals.
